“Filling You In” on Fillers – 1 Day to a More Youthful You at Seaside Skin Care

We’d like to “fill you in” on the fillers that we use here at Seaside Skin Care. Our last blog discussed our newest filler Juvederm Voluma, which is the hyaluronic acid based filler used specifically for mid-face or cheeks. We have several other filler options available at Seaside Skin Care, because the filler we use varies based on the area where we are adding volume.

Some fillers are used more for the upper face to give you a lift, or to give you projection. These fillers include Juvederm Voluma, Sculptra and Radiesse. As we discussed previously, Voluma is made of hyaluronic acid, and is excellent for the apex and apple of the cheek. Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxylapatite (now that’s a tongue twister!) which is a natural mineral in your body. This filler is excellent for adding volume to deeper lines. Believe it or not, Sculptra is made of tiny micro sutures. Technically Sculptra is made of poly-L-lactic acid, and has been used for decades in dissolvable stitches. Who knew?! Sculptra is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body as it works to replace lost collagen. All of these fillers stimulate our own tissue to produce more collagen, and they all add volume.

We also have fillers that ideally go into the lower area of the face, producing beautiful results. Belotero works really well for fine superficial lines, such as vertical lip lines. Juvederm Ultra Plus is ideal for nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We can also augment the chin area, and my favorite—the lips. The mouth can really age you a lot, so giving you a little bit of “pop” around the mouth is always really nice!

We would love to meet you! We can help you determine which fillers are best for you based on the look you are wanting to achieve. Come on in to Seaside Skin Care or call us for a complimentary consultation, and we’ll see what fillers work best for you.  Like us on Facebook to stay up-to-date with Promotions and Giveaways at Seaside Skin Care.
